Recess Room has been open for a couple months now but it’s still a place I’d definitely recommend if you haven’t had a chance to stop by already.

First off, so the basic idea behind Recess Room was a bunch of the owners (who are friends since young) wanted to create a place where you can basically take a breather, relax, and have a good time with your friends just like those good ol recess school days. I love the fact that their restaurant is furnished by a local warehouse that specializes in rustic-ish decor and it absolutely adds a homey feel to the whole place. Very simple, but definitely spacious and perfect for all group sizes.

Now for the food! My ABSOLUTE favorite dish to order here is the Blue Crab Beignets. So fresh and packed with Blue Crab, its a bit on the pricer side but so so good! The seafood items here are also locally sourced and this dish is the best representation of how good their food is!

There’s also plenty of other goodies for you to try so I highly advise coming with a group of friends to split the items to try (and the bill!) Plus it makes for an awesome aerial spread shot!

Bone Marrow Mac N Cheese

If you like the occasional drink with your friends, they also recently got their liquor license to serve you these pretty little concoctions such as this Prohibition Punch. Definitely check this place out on your next fancy date night, friends reunion, or after your next paycheck!
